Frequently Asked Questions; These are commonly asked questions by new clients, and reminders for returning clients, that we get on a daily basis.

What is the easiest way to contact you for a photoshoot?
To receive a quick response please contact us via cell-text messaging.

I see your starting rates for some types of photoshoots, but I don’t see any packages listed on your website – how come?
The starting rates are only example prices for certain categories of photo services that we provide. We work closely with each client individually to agree on what will suite their style, budget and preferences. Our custom approach to our clients’ needs has always ensured happy, return clients and proves it is hard to put together “standard packages” that will suit everyone.

Once I’ve chosen a photo shoot time, how do I book?
Give us a call or message and we will confirm your time slot is available.

How much is your deposit and when is it due?
Once you’ve chosen a booking time, a 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.

Can I send you payments with Electronic Funds Transfer?
Yes, EFT is the most efficient way;  All you need is our email address.

What happens to my deposit if I need to cancel or delay my photoshoot?
Your deposit is non-refundable and will be retained with us and applied as a Studio Credit for when you are able to reschedule your photoshoot at a future date.

On your portfolio I notice all of your models look really great – how do you capture my best features?
Using creative thinking and magical placement of lights, we can create an image style you like and will show your best features. We like to talk with our clients in detail prior to a photoshoot to get a better understanding of what their style and preferences are. We are not perfect either, and can relate to our clients’ need to show our best smile and brightest eyes.

How long does it take to get my photos?
In general, it takes from 1 to 14 days, depending on the size and complexity of your photoshoot. In the case of a simple head-shot, same day possible. For larger events and weddings we generally allow for 10-14 days.

How do I receive my photos once they’re ready?
We will place a “zip” file on our private server space and you will receive a link via email or social media link. Alternately, we can put your images on a CD, DVD, usb drive if you are more comfortable with that.

Are my images going to be cropped and ready for printing?
The images will be cropped to their native, edited form, which may not be a standard printing size. We can quickly crop images to any size you wish or to standard, store-printed sizes.

Can I order a photo book or other products from Roy Graham Photography?
We do not have readily-selectable, specialized products that clients can choose from.  In most cases, our past clients have already had products in mind prior to receiving their photos that they wish to use, and we leave it up to them to have them created. Despite this, we do have resources for clients wishing to utilize our expertise in creating products other than prints and enlargements.

Where do you think is the best place to get photos printed?
I exclusively recommend London Drugs (in Canada). They are, by far, the best quality and price for consumer printing photo labs, in my opinion. In general, make sure that wherever you go, make sure you mark, “no corrections” on your print/enlargement order.  Otherwise, the product you’ve received from us may not have expected results or quality.

The walls in my home are really bare and need some colourful and thoughtful inspiration – what do you suggest?
We have an incredible array of stunning stock photos that are best enlarged, printed, and matted for display in your home.  The ‘Stock’ category of images can be found on the front page and is always evolving – check back regularly for something you’ll fall in love with.
*note: the online images do no justice to a quality printed/framed enlargement.

Now that I’ve paid for and received my photos, can I use them to promote my business?
That’s a good question. It depends on whether or not we were under contract with you to shoot for your business or personal needs. When shooting an individual, the photos are licensed for personal use, such as printing or online social media. We have relationships with other businesses and those contracts allow for the business to use their photos in other ways, such as advertising, online campaigns or even stock photos for future use.
Our contracts with clients are customized and specific to each one of their needs.
